Freshman Ryan Soroka, who helped St. John’s capture the Big East Tournament, is the Soccer America Men’s Player of the Week.

The former U.S. U-17 star, who had game-winning goals in the Red Storm’s first two games of the Big East Tournament the previous week, played a part in all three of the team’s goals in the semifinals and finals.

Soroka scored his fifth game-winning goal in a 2-0 triumph over Providence on Friday. He added an assist on an insurance goal later in the contest and assisted on Adam Himeno’s winning goal in a 1-0 victory over No. 2 West Virginia in the final on Sunday.
