A win over the Colorado Rapids would do wonders for the Los Angeles Galaxy’s playoff chances. The defending champion Galaxy is in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in club history. But coming off a 1-0 win Wednesday against Houston, the Galaxy faces a foundering third-place Colorado, which has lost its last two games by scores of 4-1. Colorado has a five-point lead over the Galaxy, which is four points out of the fourth-place playoff spot currently occupied by Chivas USA.
