The expansion Miami FC and the Puerto Rico Islanders both survived a two-game head-to-head showdown on the weekend to clinch the USL First Division’s final two playoff berths and leave the defending champion Seattle Sounders and Atlanta Silverbacks on the outside. The Rochester Rhinos, meanwhile, grabbed the second playoff bye, but came up short in their bid for the regular-season title that went to Montreal.
