With two months left in the English Premier League season, Arsenal star Thierry Henry is out for the season with an assortment of injuries, and Gunners manager Arsene Wenger blames France for Henry’s woes.

Wenger believes Henry was “badly managed” by France after the World Cup — and maintained the Arsenal captain was now “paying the price of success.”

Henry, 29, damaged stomach and groin muscles after coming on in last week’s Champions League match against PSV.

Wenger blames the French national team for needlessly using Henry in friendly games this season and acknowledged relations with the Bleus staff were strained.

“It was very difficult to get in touch with the French national team after the World Cup,” Wenger joked. “You know the French.”

Wenger says Henry is not to blame for his injury problems.

‘Thierry has played a World Cup,” said Wenger. “He has a clean lifestyle, he is every night in bed, he eats well and drinks what a sportsman should, but sometimes you have to accept that nature sometimes says stop, I do not want it now, and you have to stop. It’s part of our job. We depend first on our health. When you are 20, you feel nothing can destroy you — but suddenly a small little part of your body can put you on your knees. That is football.”
