Referee Daniel Salazar has been suspended for three games by the Ecuadoran federation for allowing LDU to score a 89th-minute game-winning goal with two balls on the field. After Deportivo Quito keeper Daniel Viteri saved an LDU shot he held on to the ball as he crossed the line for a corner kick. He kept hold of the ball as he returned to the field while Deportivo took the corner and was still grasping it as Agustin Delgado headed into the net.
