Stomping on the thigh of a fallen Jay Heaps will cost ChicagoÆs Ante Razov $2,750 and a three-game suspension.
The incident occurred in stoppage time of Game 3 as Chicago was headed toward playoff elimination by New England, which was leading 2-0 in Game 3.
In addition to the standard $250 fine and one-game suspension for all red cards, MLS fined Razov an additional $2,500 and added a two-game suspension. He will serve the three-game suspension when the Fire kicks off its 2003 MLS regular season next spring.
