Tom Sermanni won his New York Power debut Thursday night as Tiffeny Milbrett and Tammy Pearman each had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 exhibition victory over WUSA rival Boston in Wilton, Conn.
Sermanni, hired as head coach from the San Jose CyberRays, beat Pia Sundhage, who was debuting as the Breakers' head coach. Sundhage was an assistant at Philadelphia the past two seasons.
Minna Mustonen also scored for New York.
This is the second year the teams have met in Wilton — Breakers midfielder Kristine Lilly's hometown. They tied, 2-2, in 2001.
