SWITZERLAND
Frankie Hejduk (St. Gallen, D1) vs. Grasshoppers (2-3).
Started: 90 minutes.
Hejduk made his Swiss League debut in a 3-2 home loss on Wednesday before a crowd of 9,500. Hejduk, who arrived at St. Gallen after almost four years with Germany's Bayer Leverkusen, lined up as a wide midfielder. Swiss daily Tages Anzeiger praised Hejduk's work rate but reported that his ability to create attacks was minimal. He was cautioned in the 18th minute for a foul.
St. Gallen, which finished sixth last season, has won two Swiss League titles, in 2000 and 1904.
