The United States and Costa Rica were tied, 0-0, at halftime of their World Cup 2002 qualifier in Kansas City. The best chance came to the United States in the 16th minute when Josh Wolff’s flick header was cleared off the line by Tico defender Reynaldo Parks. Clint Mathis also had two good chances for the United States.
