Costa Rica coach Alexandre Guimaraes: “I want to congratulate the USA side, that today deserved to win the game and played a good football that took us off our game, Congratulations to them and know we know what we need to do in our preparation for the World Cup. “This tournament served as a calculated lesson for us, we were able to see for a month what we can do with this team. “I think the USA played a game at a very high level. With regard to how they closed out the qualifiers, they have had enormous growth à they have many young players that are pushing them forward. “They were able to have a great physical response that was truly impressive after having played 120 minutes the other day (in the semifinal against Canada), I think that we ran into an opponent who was better than us and today that team was the USA, they imposed their game on us from the outset and we were never able to maintain our rhythm while they took advantage of their chances.”
