Juventus will learn next week whether the forcefully relegated team’s massive point penalty will be reduced or even cancelled. Juve chief Giovanni Cobolli Gigli said he is confident the CONI (the Italian Olympic Committee) arbitration court will act in his club’s favor. “I don’t want to call it a discount because that would imply that someone is giving us something for free — I feel we are already paying heavily,” said Gigli. Cobolli Gigli added that the club is willing to claim damages from former directors Luciano Moggi and Antonio Giraudo, if it has the grounds to do so. “There is no way we could avoid that,” he said, “although we believe that the Scudetti won with them were well deserved.” The director added that the club was saddened to see the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluca Zambrotta, especially, leave.
