Notre Dame freshman Michele Weissenhofer is the Soccer America Women’s Player of the Week after leading the No. 1 Irish their 10th and 11th straight wins of the season.
Weissenhofer’s game-tying goal in the second half sparked a three-goal comeback in a 3-1 win over previously unbeaten West Virginia. She added the primary assist on Amanda Cinalli‘s goal that capped the win over the Mountaineers.
Two days later, Weissenhofer scored twice in the 5-0 win over Pittsburgh.
The Eclipse Select product leads the nation with 12 assists and is second in points with 28 in games through Oct. 1.
