U.S. Soccer: U-17 national team beats Honduras

The U.S. under-17 national team got its 2001 campaign off to a great start with a 4-1 win over CONCACAF foe Honduras Jan. 29. The U.S. was led by recent MLS Project-40 signing Ed Johnson, who registered a hat trick. The U.S. will meet Honduras again Jan. 31 in Bradenton, Fla., where John Ellinger has his team in residency in preparation for U-17 World Cup qualifying.
