Argentina and Nigeria remain tied 1-1 at halftime of the men’s gold-medal match in Athens, Ga.
Play has been even, with both teams creating good opportunities. Nigeria bounced back right away after conceding the second-minute goal to Claudio Lopez, and as the half drew to a close, the Argentine defense appeared to be a bit shaky — the Super Eagles were beating Argentina down the wings.
Argentina’s Roberto Sensini was booked in the 12th minute, as was Nigeria’s Sunday Oliseh in the 21st.
