Jamaica got a pair of goals from U.S.-based striker Paul Young in a 2-1 away win over St. Vincent & the Grenadines Sept. 23 in Kingstown to take the lead in CONCACAF’s Group 3.

Young, who has played this year in MLS (Columbus), the USISL (Charleston) and now in the A-League (Rochester), scored in the 21st minute with a header off a corner from Walter Boyd and in the 45th with a lob.

St. Vincent & the Grenadines replied through a penalty from Chris Harry in the 81st minute.

Other U.S.-based players representing Jamaica were starters Gregory Messam and Anthony McCreath and subs Fabian Davis and Wolde Harris, all of the Colorado Foxes.

The game was postponed a day due to bad field conditions in Kingstown.
