o Ecuador was without many of its first-team players due to First Division playoffs back home. Among those not called up was Eduardo Hurtado, who is with Barcelona of Guayaquil after finishing his MLS season with Los Angeles.
o Mexico was without players from Club America, which beat Celaya 2-0 in a First Division makeup game last night.
o Goalie Jorge Campos, Hurtado’s teammate on the Galaxy, played what will probably be his last game of the year in the United States. MLS has returned his player pass to Mexican club Atlante, so he can play with the Mexico City team for the rest of the 1996-97 Mexican season. He should debut for Atlante Saturday night.
