Despite suffering an ankle injury in a 2-0 win over Manchester United in the English Premier League Cup Nov. 2 — the reason U.S. Soccer gave for his absence from the U.S. delegation that traveled to Costa Rica — Kasey Keller is expected to play for Leicester City when it meets United again Nov. 30 at Old Trafford in a Premier League game.
Reports out of England put Keller’s chances of playing at Old Trafford at 60-40. U.S. Soccer excused Keller from playing in the World Cup ’98 qualifier against Costa Rica the following day.
