MLS has suspended New England head coach Thomas Rongen for one game and fined him $500 dollars, the league announced June 4. Rongen was sent off at halftime of the Revolution’s 3-1 win over Dallas on June 1, but, due to miscommunication, he stayed on the club’s bench during the second half of the game. League policy requires players who are sent off to sit out the team’s next game and pay a $250 fine; for coaches, the policy is similar except the fine is $500. Rongen will miss the Revolution-Galaxy match on June 8.
