North Carolina’s Lorrie Fair scored in the 51st minute to tie the match at one apiece. The Tar Heels won a corner kick, and Santa Clara’s clearance was corraled by UNC’s Nel Fettig just outside the box. She served a cross towards left post, and Fair headed it back towards the far post and into the net.
