Ramon Morales and Omar Bravo scored for Chivas Guadalajara to down its archrival Club America in the first leg of their Mexican League semifinal on Thursday. They meet again on Sunday (TV: Univision, 9 pm ET).
Pachuca, a day after using reserves in a 1-1 tie with Toluca in the other semifinal, dominated much of the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana final at Chile’s Colo Colo and came away with a 1-1 tie.
Pachuca, because of its better regular-season record, needs only a tie in to down Toluca when they meet in the second leg of the Mexican league semis on Sunday (TV: Univision, 1 pm ET).
