Is Andriy Shevchenko in the doghouse at Chelsea? Well, one thing is for certain, Manager Jose Mourinho has been frank in his assessment of the Ukrainian international as “not untouchable,” in Chelsea’s first team squd. He added that if Roman Abramovich, the club’s owner and close friend of Shevchenko, doesn’t like it, “he has enough money to sack me.” Said Mourinho, “Sheva is not untouchable because of the way he is playing. I play the best players at the time.” The Ukrainian has scored just three goals in the Premiership since his move $55 million move from AC Milan. “Claude Makelele, Michael Essien and Frank Lampard are untouchable because of the way they play, not because I love them. Michael Ballack is untouchable because of the way he plays. John Terry is untouchable. Ricardo Carvalho, Ashley Cole and Didier Drogba – they are untouchable.” But Sheva…not so untouchable, apparently, so much so, in fact, that a loan move back to AC Milan could be in the cards for the striker this January. Mourinho, however, mentioned nothing about a loan move. “We need to give Sheva time. I give him time. The good thing is that he is not happy with the way he is performing. If he was happy, we would have a problem.” Again, Mourinho pointed to the fact that Arsenal’s Thierry Henry didn’t score his first goal for the club until his 12th match after moving from Juventus-but Henry was also 22.
