If David Beckham's move to Los Angeles was to help his wife Victoria, formerly Posh of the Spice Girls, revive her career – early returns indicate success.

NBC has signed a deal with the Beckhams for a six-episode reality show chronicling the Beckham family move to the U.S. that will focus on Victoria. It will be produced by Simon Fuller, who came up with the ''American Idol'' format and manages both Beckhams.

''The series will give viewers a glimpse into what makes Victoria so popular and admired as one of the most glamorous women in the world,'' said Kevin Reilly, head of NBC entertainment publicity. ''She makes news wherever she goes, and our audience can now become insiders in this fascinating personal view.''

''The second Victoria and David step foot on U.S. soil, the press is going to go crazy,'' a ''TV industry insider'' told Variety. ''It's a bit of a flyer, but if they hit it right, there's a built-in machine'' to promote the show.
