MLS Commissioner Don Garber and Bundesliga CEO Christian Seifert unveiled on Tuesday an agreement between the two leagues
The agreement MLS deputy commissioner Ivan Gazidis and Bundesliga executive board member Tom Bender ironed out two weeks ago in New York was dubbed a ''knowledge pact'' — an agreement to share experience, expertise and best practices on an ongoing basis.
While no agreement to play games was announced, the German publication Sport Bild reported that Bundesliga clubs are contemplating training and playing games in the United States in the summer of 2008. Traditionally, they prepare for the new season with the League Cup series — a shortened version of the cup competition popular in England and France.
