A new era for U.S. Soccer will open on Nov. 6, when the U.S. national team hosts Australia at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, Calif. The match will be the likely debut of the new U.S. coach, and he'll have plenty of personnel decisions to make. Should the U.S. begin fielding a lineup of younger players in preparation for the 2002 and 2006 World Cups? Should the new coach bring back veterans like John Harkes, Tony Meola and Mike Sorber who have been out of the lineup? Or should the core group of France '98 players be given another chance?
