Play in the 2007 NCAA Division III Men’s Tournament begins Wednesday with seven first-round games.

The field of 57 teams includes the champions of 37 conferences and four teams that are independents or members of conferences that do not meet the requirements for automatic qualification. The final 16 slots consisted of at-large berths.

The seven first-round winners will meet seven teams that received first-round byes on Saturday. Nine sites will host four teams for first- and second-round competition Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday.

Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites Nov. 16-17 or 17-18, and those sectional winners will advance to the finals Nov. 23-24 at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla.
