The U.S. national team moved up seven spots in FIFA's World Rankings to 21, thanks to that impressive 3-0 win over Poland in Krakow last month. The loss set the Poles back four places to No. 28. This is the highest the U.S. men have been ranked since coming in at No. 20 last December. Mexico, which remained No. 16, is the only CONCACAF side ranked ahead of the Americans.
Elsewhere, Argentina retained top spot, and the rest of the top seven kept their places: Brazil, Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic and France. European champion Greece moved up two spots to No. 8, thanks to its defeat of Portugal last month. The loss set the Portuguese back one spot to No. 9, while the Netherlands also lost one spot, coming in at No. 10. England, which lost 1-0 to France last month, stayed at No. 11.
