[MLS/VIDEO] The Houston Dynamo may have to fend off a few calls from NFL teams after defender Craig Waibel put on a field-goal show at the Houston Texans’ training center.

Texans kicker Kris Brown coached Waibel through increasingly longer attempts at the kick, reported the Houston Chronicle. Eventually, the 32-year-old Dynamo defender stood 63 yards away from the uprights, which is the NFL record for longest successful field goal during a game. Waibel didn’t disappoint, sending the ball through the posts and impressing the Texans’ staff.
Waibel’s efforts were part of an event that benefited The Method Hospital in the Houston area. For each successful kick, three kids were given free tickets to the Dynamo’s SuperLiga match against Pachuca this past Tuesday. In total, 30 children got to see the Dynamo’s 2-0 victory.
Brown may not find as much success on his planned visit to the Dynamo. He’ll try to put a few penalties past keeper Pat Onstad.
