STARTING OUT: I grew up in Mexico. All my friends played soccer in the streets. So, I played soccer, too.

EARLY SOCCER MEMORY: My cousin and I took the bus to play a game. We didn’t have enough money to get home. So, we walked and got home around 1:00 in the morning.

FIRST CLEATS: It was a Mexican brand called Concorb. I liked them!

CURRENT CLEATS: Adidas F50s.

OTHER SPORTS: I played basketball in elementary school.

FAVORITE TEAMS: I watch the Mexican League, a lot. I like the Lakers and the Chicago Bulls, too.

FAVORITE PLAYER: I like Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo.

FAVORITE MOVIES: Action Movies.

FAVORITE ACTOR: Will Smith.

LIVING SITUATION: I live at home with my mom.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: I hope it’s me but it’s going to be really hard.

MLS EXPERIENCE: It’s been good. I didn’t get to play too much last year. This year, I’m playing and scoring goals. Hopefully, we make the playoffs and I get more minutes.

MOST INFLUENTIAL COACH: Well, he isn’t a coach but Dennis te Kloese [Chivas USA director of soccer] helped me a lot. He’s the one who picked me for Sueno MLS and for the Chivas U-19s.

MEMORABLE COACHING ADVICE (from youth coach): Work hard every day.

HOBBIES: I like to listen to music, go on the Internet and go to the movies.

MUSIC: I like every kind of Mexican music. I like rap and hip-hop, too. I like a little bit of everything.

READING: I like some magazines but I’m not a big reader.
