[OFF THE POST] In a Peruvian league game, as Universitario tried to get the late game-winning goal, ball boys for home team Deportivo San Martin were accused of deflating spare balls to delay play. The San Martin bench responded to the allegations and prompted a brawl in which officials and players exchanged blows.
The game was delayed for five minutes and San Martin, which was playing short-handed after two ejections, held on for a 1-1 draw.
There was also trouble in the Sports Boys-Atletico Minero game, during which Sport Boys fans attempted to attack their own keeper after he conceded a late goal. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Struggling Sport Boys did not get a full week of training in as players said they could not afford gasoline or taxi fares to get to practice.
