Manchester City board member and self-proclaimed Argentina aficianado Dr. Sulaiman Al-Fahim continues his quest to bring overnight success to the long-struggling EPL side, this time setting his sights on Barcelona’s 21-year-old midfield maestro Lionel Messi, as well as Diego Maradona in what would equate to a General Manager role.
“I do not know if Maradona will be a good coach,” confessed Al-Fahim to The Sun. “What I believe is that he should be the president of a club and have the right to choose and buy players. He has the power to change a soccer team.”
Maradona is currently Argentina’s head coach. Despite Messi himself stating his desire to stay at Barca, Man City is reportedly ready to offer $140 million for the player that, as Al-Fahim puts it, “makes me love Argentina again.”
