Things went from bad to worse to abysmal for Juergen Klinsmann and Co. on Wednesday, and all in a matter of just minutes. Allowing four goals to Barcelona in a first half was just part of what led German legend Franz Beckenbauer to call the lopsided loss “without a doubt the worst football Bayern have played in their entire history” and “almost a humiliation.”

Coupled with an embarrassing 5-1 loss to Bundesliga foe VfL Wolfsburg last weekend, even those who were previously preaching patience had to be reconsidering their stance.  Karl-Heinze Rummenigge, who’s been a staunch supporter of Klinsmann, for the first time had no comment about the coach’s future.

It was all quiet on the western (Europe) front as well, as Klinsmann divulged that “nothing was said” in the locker room after the loss, in which he admits Bayern was “taken apart” and “it was clear in every part of the team that we just could not live with them.”  Now in an impossible position in the Champions League, the writing is on the wall at Bayern, acknowledging that “we know that we now have to win the Bundesliga.”
