England aims for its sixth straight in Group 6 World Cup qualifying when it faces Kazakhstan in Almaty on Saturday. And England coach Fabio Capello has brushed off suggestions that fatigue could affect his players, who flew over 3,500 miles to the far eastern end of Europe for the game after a tough domestic season for many players.
"It's a long trip but we must remember that they played well in first half at Wembley," Capello said. "This is the problem, not the jet-lag and the flight." England defeated Kazakhstan 5-1 at Wembley back in October and is a huge favorite, but it needed three late goals to make the game's scoreline so impressive for England, which didn't pull ahead until the 52nd minute.
