Ronaldo scored three times as Corinthians beat Fluminense 4-2 in a Brazilian championship game at the Pacaembu stadium in Sao Paulo on Wednesday night. The goals marked Ronaldo’s first of the Brasileiro this season. The 2002 World Cup champion scored several goals in the Paulista State Championship and the Copa do Brasil, two championships that Corinthians won. With the win, Corinthians climbed into fifth place. Although most pundits believed Ronaldo’s international career over, Ronaldo’s sizzling form increases his chances of making yet another bid for World Cup duty in South Africa next year.
