Two days after celebrating his 14th birthday, Freddy Adu scored two goals and added two assists in the second half to lead the U.S. under-17 national team to a 5-0 win over Poland on the final day of the Busan International Youth Tournament in Busan, South Korea.
Jamie Watson also notched two goals in the second half. With the win, the U.S. finished in second place, edging host South Korea on goal difference (+2 to +1).
Defender Steven Curfman opened the scoring in the 37th minute, with a 40-yard shot that swerved into the upper-right hand corner. The shot was the only shot the U.S. had on goal in the first half and was CurfmanÆs first international goal.
