No. 7 Wake Forest will try to cope without star striker Jeremiah White as it faces No. 5 Old Dominion in the weekend's marquee matchup. White suffered a broken facial bone during the Demon Deacons' loss to Virginia last week and miss the rest of the regular season and possibly the playoffs.
In other key games, a Top 10 spot is likely at stake for No. 11 Penn State and host No. 12 Akron while Stanford has a chance to regain its spot in the rankings against SMU and No. 15 Creighton tries to fare better than the Cardinal did last week against Brown and Yale.
The highlight of midweek games was Notre Dame's 1-0 victory over Indiana on junior Kevin Goldthwaite's overtime goal.
