Honduras beat Guatemala, 2-1, in a friendly at the Home Depot Center on Sunday. The first international friendly at the Home Depot Center drew 15,023 fans.
Guatemala and Honduras are tuning up for the Gold Cup next month. Guatemala started two players who will be playing NCAA Division I soccer next fall: SMU-bound Mynor Gonzalez and Rutgers-bound Ricardo Arenas, a tranfer from JC power Mercer County.
Los Angeles Galaxy star Carlos Ruiz came on the second half for Arenas; Freddy Garcia of the Columbus Crew came on stoppage time.
