Kristin Neher scored a second-half hat trick as William Jewell (Mo.) rallied from a two-goal deficit to upset third-seeded Azusa Pacific (Calif.), keeping the Cougars out of the NAIA semifinals for the first time since 1997.

Neher, a junior forward, scored in the 47th, 74th and 89th minutes, the final two from Allison Mallams assists, to send the Cardinals (21-0-1) past APU, 3-2, and into the final four at the NAIA national championship at Santa Barbara (Calif.) City College.

Top-seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), second-seeded Westmont (Calif.) and fourth-seeded Concordia (Ore.) also advanced to Monday's semifinals.

Neher has five goals in two NAIA tournament matches and 41 for the season, two fewer than Mallams. Mallams, a freshman, has 25 assists, three in the tournament.

Azusa Pacific (13-4-3) opened a 2-0 lead on Stephanie Weber's 40th-minute goal and Erin Arbizu's strike 18 seconds into the second half. The Cougars outshot William Jewell, 24-12, but goalkeeper Lara Melenbrink made 11 saves.

APU goalkeeper Melissa Strother stopped Stefanie Carson's penalty kick in the 59th minute.

William Jewell will meet Westmont (20-1-1), the tournament host, on Monday. The Warriors romped, 4-0, over Lindenwood (Mo.) as twins Karin and Kristi Sullivan scored goals a minute apart late in the first half, Karin's on a penalty kick, and Katie Rhodes and Kristi Peich added second-half goals. The Lady Lions finished 14-5-3.

Lindsey Wilson (24-1-0) rallied twice from deficits before Sarah Chandler's 106th-minute goal provided a 3-2 overtime victory over Cal Baptist (15-4-2). Antoinette Anounga scored the first Blue Raider goal and assisted Chandler's winner and Nkese Udoh's 81st-minute strike. The Lancers were playing their third game in as many days.

Up next for Lindsey Wilson is Concordia (20-1-3), which topped Notre Dame de Namur (Calif.), 3-1, as Haley Regis and Rebecca Sturm scored goals. The Argonauts finished 19-3-0.
