With Hope Solo thousands of miles away with the U.S. womenÆs national team, Kopparbergs/Goteborg was routed, 7-1, in a showdown with visiting Malmo FF.

Heidi Kackur scored a pair of goals to lead Malmo (4-1-2), which scored three goals in the first 14 minutes and led, 4-0, by the 26th. K/Goteborg (4-2-1) has lost in routs twice and earned its 13 points on five Solo shutouts.

Denise Reddy anchored the backline for Malmo, which climbed to third place, seven points behind first-place Umea IK and five behind second-place Djurgarden/Alvsjo. K/Goteborg is fourth.

K/Goteborg won its first match without Solo, beating lower-division Husie IF, 2-0, in its Swedish Cup opener last Wednesday. Sena Mujezinovic played in Solo's spot in that game.

Swedish national team star Jane Tornqvist scored twice as second-place Djurgarden/Alvsjo (6-0-1) romped to a 4-1 win at Stattena IF. Belgian forward Coco Callebaut — a Lindenwood University (NAIA) senior-to-be who played last season with W-League champion Hampton Roads Piranhas — netted her first goal of the season.

Venus James had scored in her first two appearances with Djurgarden/Alvsjo.

Umea (7-0-0) beat Linkopings FC, 2-0, on goals by Laura Kalmari and Sanna Valkonen.

FFC Turbine Potsdam rolled over lowly Saarbruecken, 7-0, Monday to crawl within four points of first-place FFC Frankfurt in the German Frauen-Bundesliga. Nancy and Julie Augustyniak came on in the second half for Turbine (17-1-1), which got two goals apiece from Conny Pohlers and Navina Omilade.

FFC Frankfurt (18-0-2) is home Wednesday against Bayern Munich, its last league match before the June 13 showdown with Turbine. The East Germans play FSV Frankfurt twice this week, in Frankfurt on Thursday and in Potsdam on Saturday.
