Abby Wambach headed home two Mia Hamm corner kicks in the second half Sunday and the U.S. women's national team completed its 2003 schedule with a simple 3-1 triumph over Mexico at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Cindy Parlow, making her first appearance since sustaining a concussion in the Americans' World Cup third-place win over Canada, also tallied as the U.S. women dominated proceedings against a young Mexican side that is in preparation for the first round of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2004 Olympics.

Tiffeny Milbrett, seeking her 100th international goal, fared poorly when presented fine chances in what could be her final appearance for the national team.

The Americans outshot their foes, 30-4, and spent much of the match deep in Mexican territory, showing few signs of rustiness despite the team's arrival in Dallas on Saturday. U.S. players had attended the weddings of U.S. defender Kate Sobrero on Friday and former U.S. midfielder Sara Whalen on Saturday.

''I think, all in all, we did a lot of really good things out here,'' Hamm said. ''You could see the fatigue a little bit as it was the end of our season. Our final pass wasn't on, and our finishing suffered a little bit, but it's been a long road this year with the WUSA and getting ready for the World Cup, and everyone is looking forward to a little time off.''

Parlow gave the United States an 18th-minute lead, taking a nice pass from Aly Wagner, beating defender Jenny Ruiz and firing past Mexican goalkeeper Jennifer Molina to the left side of the net. It was Parlow's 65th international goal.

Monica Gonzalez, a native Texan who played two seasons in the WUSA, pulled Mexico even in the 41st minute, converting a penalty kick after Kylie Bivens fouled Paty Perez as she raced into the U.S. box. The shot was Mexico's first of the match.

Wambach, a halftime insertion, leapt over Perez to nod the Americans ahead in the 58th minute, then added another goal in the 90th minute at the far post. On the second, Wambach's header ricocheted off Gonzalez's head en route to the net.

Hamm's assists were her 122nd and 123rd in international play. Wambach has 14 goals in 22 international appearances.

Molina, a former Colgate star, was exceptional, making big saves on Shannon Boxx in the 11th minute, Hamm in the 17th, Hamm and Parlow on a 27th-minute sequence, Milbrett in the 60th and Wambach in the 71st.

Milbrett, who has struggled the past two years and has said she'll decide in January whether to continue with the national team, had two solid chances for her 100th goal, in the 69th and 87th minutes, but did nothing with them.

Mexico, missing its U.S. collegians, is in preparations for the Dec. 10-14 Olympic qualifiers in Tegucigalpa against Nicaragua and host Honduras. The winner of the threesome advances to the final round of CONCACAF Olympic qualifying Feb. 25-March 7 in Costa Rica.

The Mexicans face Panama in Panama City on Saturday and play Guatemala in Guatemala City on Nov. 19 and 23.
