Santos rallied from an early deficit to beat Toluca on Sunday and advance to the Interliga final against Atlas.
Joahan Rodriguez and Hector Lopez scored second-half goals seven minutes apart as Santos claimed a 2-1 victory at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas to win Group A on total goals over Morelia and Toluca.
Manuel Lopez netted a hat trick in Houston, with two of the goals coming on penalty kicks, as Atlas routed Atlante, 4-1, to win the Group B title and reach Wednesday's final at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
The winner of the Interliga title will gain one of Mexico's two slots in the Libertadores Cup and compete in Group 3 of South America's club championship, battling Cruzeiro (Brazil), Universidad de Concepcion (Chile) and Caracas FC (Venezuela).
Toluca, which needed only a tie to advance to the championship, was dropped to third in Group A as Morelia used goals by Damian Alvarez and Carlos Pavon to beat Guadalajara, 2-1, in the first game of the Dallas doubleheader. Atlas, Morelia and Toluca finished with six points and a plus-1 goal differential. Atlas scored six goals, Morelia scored five and Toluca scored four.
Morelia will meet America in Wednesday's third-place game. The second- and third-place finishers will meet later this month in a one-game playoff to determine Mexico's second Libertadores Cup entrant.
America, tied on points with Atlas entering the final day of group play, dropped to second with a 1-1 tie against UNL Tigres in Houston.
