The Libertadores Cup could feature an all-Brazilian final, as was the case last year when Sao Paulo downed Atletico Paranaense.
Hoping to prevent that scenario are Mexico’s Chivas Guadalajara and Paraguay’s Libertad.
Guadalajara takes a 1-0 deficit from its first-leg home semifinal loss to Sao Paulo. In the group stage, Guadalajara beat Sao Paulo at its Morumbi Stadium and ended Sao Paulo’s 30-match home undefeated streak in Libertadores Cup play, dating back to 1987. But Sao Paulo has never lost two-leg series after winning the first leg.
Libertad faces Internacional in Brazil after a scoreless first leg in Asuncion.
