American goalkeeper Brad Friedel scored an 89th minute goal for Blackburn to tie Charlton 2-2 — then was beaten on a stoppage-time volley as his team lost, 3-2, on Saturday.

With his team trailing 2-1, Friedel left his goal to join a Blackburn corner kick. When Charlton failed to clear the corner kick, Friedel shot the ball into the net from close range.

But Charlton, which had squandered a 2-0 lead, clinched a win thanks to a fierce volley by substitute Claus Jensen that Friedel could only get a hand to.
