Belgian club Mons has fired its Italian coach, Sergio Brio, after his strict dietary guidelines and long training sessions failed to keep the First Division club out of the relegation zone. Brio's heavy-handed reign reached a head when he benched captain Olivier Suray for eating a baguette with chocolate spread hours before a game against Charleroi. Without Suray, Mons lost, 1-0.
