Santino Quaranta, a 21-year-old who has been in MLS for six seasons, is leaving from D.C. United for the Los Angeles Galaxy in exchange for a partial allocation and a conditional 2008 draft pick. The midfielder has notched 14 goals and 13 assists in his 62 MLS appearances. He has 11 U.S. caps. … Midfielder Dedi Ben-Dayan, who notched 8 goals and 4 assists in 24 games since joining Colorado in 2005, is returning to his native Israel to play for Club Maccabi Netanya FC. That’s good news for Chivas USA, against which Ben-Dayan scored each of the five times he faced the West Conference rival. Ben-Dayan, 27, requested the transfer so he could care for his mother in Tel Aviv.
