U.S. players to fade physically late in the game, as they did in the 2-1 win over Trinidad & Tobago to open the Hexagonal.
"They know that physically they have problems," Lavolpe said Tuesday, "and that's where we must put pressure on them. In their last game against Trinidad & Tobago, they struggled physically in the second half with the heat and humidity."
The Argentina Lavolpe says the United States is Mexico's toughest rival, and his players must play intelligently in the World Cup qualifying showdown Sunday at Mexico City's Azteca Stadium.
Two injured starters did not take part in training on Tuesday: defender Hugo Sanchez and striker Cuauhtemoc Blanco.
