Former USA coach Bruce Arena makes his debut on the sidelines of the New York Red Bulls in MLS’s latest test against a world renowned club. Following the MLS All-Stars’ 1-0 win over Chelsea last Saturday, and D.C. United’s 1-1 tie with Real Madrid on Wednesday (a month after D.C. United’s 4-0 win over Scottish champ Celtic), the Red Bulls have a chance to continue boosting MLS’s reputation.
In its previous North American tour games, two-time defending La Liga champ Barcelona beat Mexico’s Tigres (3-0) in Monterrey, and tied Chivas USA (1-1) in Los Angeles and Mexico’s Club America (4-4) in Houston.
