The Dallas Burn signed defender Philip Salyer as a Developmental Player through an MLS Supplemental Draft. Salyer, 22, spent the last year with the reserve team of German First Division club Werder Bremen.
Salyer, who was born in Oklahoma City and raised in Dallas, spent two years at the University of Maryland (2000-01), starting 40 matches, scoring six goals and adding six assists. He is a former U.S. U-20 international.
