U.S. SOCCER: U-20s go unbeaten in Madeira

The U.S. under-20 national team beat a Madeira XI, 1-0, in Funchal, Portugal, Friday to finish unbeaten (two wins and a tie) at the Madeira International Tournament, but it had to settle for second place when Portugal beat Norway, 3-0, to claim first on goal difference.

Mike Magee had the winner in the 87th minute for the Americans, who must now wait until FIFA reschedules the World Youth Championship, postponed because of the impending war in the Middle East.
