The Defending A-League champion Seattle Sounders defeated Vissel Kobe of the Japanese Second Division 2-1 in Kobe April 10.
Chance Fry scored both Seattle goals (the first off a Nate Daligcon cross), as the Sounders rallied from a 1-0 second-half deficit.
Takahara Jinno’s 18-yard blast in the 60th minute had given Kobe a 1-0 lead, but the Japanese team failed to find the net again, as Marcus Hahnemann stopped 15 shots for the Sounders.
Vissel Kobe had been undefeated in its previous seven matches.
