No. 3 Wake Forest extended its winning streak to five games with a 2-1 win at No. 4 Virginia on Friday night.

Substitute Cody Arnoux scored the winning goal for the Demon Deacons in the 77th minute when he rifled a shot from 15 yards out off a cross from Steven Curfman.

Nico Colaluca put Virginia ahead in the 50th minute, but Wake Forest answered a minute later when Pat Phelan's shot from 25 yards was saved by Ryan Burke, but Julian Valentin was there to knock in that rebound tying the game, 1-1.

The win was the first for the Deacons over Virginia since 2002.

Junior midfielder Stephen King notched a goal and an assist as No. 6 Maryland defeated No. 25 Virginia Tech, 2-1, at a rain-soaked Ludwig Field.

Goals from King and Maurice Edu in the first half an hour were the difference for Maryland.

No. 2 Duke's game at No. 12 Clemson was postponed until Saturday because of the bad weather.
